This summer has been one of my hottest! It was SIZZLING HOT. I read tons of BL books. I read about fantasy gay princes; a gay Greek hero; undercover gay FBI agents; gay assassins from a post-world war 3 world; roved with gay pirates in 17th century Jamaica; spanked submissive gay lords; met a magical, gay, alien, warrior king; body swapped with a gay prince in Ancient China; and laughed with a gay, drunken wizard. MY SUMMER WAS HOT. BURNING. YAOILICIOUS. IMCRYINGITSOVERNOW. D:
I read A TON of books this summer. So I didn't have time to draw. Ah, but I am BL pumped. The best thing is, most of these books are available online, for free! Some of them you have to buy but there are other means to get a hold of it. *cough* type the title then add "pdf download" in Google. If you have money, go buy it.

You actually have to buy the book. This story is beautifully told in that historical mythical way that makes the Achilles and Patroclus' relationship sounds so legit. Seriously, forget IIiad. Grab this version. Perfect for those of you who love Greek mythology and now made awesome with BL.
Read Manhua Novel fan translation by Sooky. Manhua by Feng Nong.
These are translations from the Chinese novel and it has BODY SWAP! I love body swaps! This novel will fulfill both your body swap, yaoi needs with an adorable spunky and witty uke. Really, what I love with this series is that is has a manga though not complete but you can actually visualize the beautiful characters as you read the novel translations. Seriously, the manga is beautifully illustrated! I also love those scenes where this modern guy gets body-swapped-with-a-flimsy-beautiful-prince

2 Books so far and the third book coming up in 2014! OHMAI! I read this for free in the website and now I think you have to buy the book. But you know Google is your friend right? Not too much yaoi but the tension is there and I am not complaining. The reason is that there is actually an intriguing plot. The story builds up to the two character's relationship and it will lead to the most SWEETEST OF SCENES that I will not spoil for you guys. Seriously, WORTH READING, WORTH BUYING because the bought version has smexy extra chapters.

AHAHAHAHHAHA! Seriously, this is the funniest book I have read in my life. It made me laugh out loud and my stomach cramp as if I did push-ups with air. This is a slash fanfiction of the show Merlin in modern times. Really, I don't even watch that series but everyone knows Arthur=King, Lancelot=Knight, Merlin=Wizard thing and that is all you need to know. Set in University life with a Harry Potter-ish feel but Harry potter never made my stomach full of happy gas. NUMBER 1 Recommendation if you want to laugh!

A series about 2 FBI agents who are gay for each other. Lots of them hot scenes we love so much. Throw some angst, guns, ex-marines, good cop bad cop action and you get one hot plate of FBI beefcakes with added brains and feels. Well of course, they hate each other at first but later, they formed a partnership so strong that kept them alive in various situations. This series has currently 7 books and what I like how realistic it is. I mean, compared to all these fantasy, mythical, magical BL books I read. They have family problems, the coming out arc, and they are not teens trying to find their sexuality, they are actually adults who just fell in love with each other.

This is perhaps one of the most unforgettable books for me. The impact for me is just GAH. The sexy assassins, the angst, the smexy scenes and the supporting characters are just lovely. The series is complete with 4 books but be warned, in my ebook reader in my phone, 1 book can be as long as 1600 pages. Let me tell you what, IT IS WORTH IT. I didn't find it long at all. It just explored the universe of the story more, built the characters up and included scenes we only write fan fiction about but in this book, it is actually part of it. Set in a post-WW3 world where the government has a secret division called the Agency to do its dirty job. Yeah, and the song Radioactive from Imagine Dragons is in replay in my phone as I read this book. Listen to that song and that is basically the feel of this book, Oh and Vega meat, is the tastiest kind. Really. Angsty-angst-angst-assassins.

This series is complete with 4 books. I had a book hangover after the In the Company of Shadows (ICoS) series and while I was lurking their site, the author of ICoS have mentioned in the comments to read this series. OMG. It's like, the past lives of the main couple in ICoS! Well similar but my fangirl brain fueled the thought. Instead of being assassins, they are pirates! It just made me so happy. WHO DOESN'T LIKE ENGLISH LORDS BECOMING PIRATES AND FINDING PIRATE LOVE IN THE 17th CENTURY!?! Man to man relationships are actually accepted as 'the way of the Coast'. What do pirates do for months and months in the seas? Make love with their matelot (pirate husband) of course! This book IS A ROLLERCOASTER RIDE. Really, there may be quite a lot of allegory and drama, but in the best way possible. Keywords: Piracy, Ships, Lords, Titles, Wives, Madness, Matelots, Allegory.

This is probably one of the shorter books I have read. Yup, slaves and BDSM. Need I say more? Well, include love and a nice Master and it is actually a great light read. I call it light because it really just focuses on the relationship of the two main characters and little mention of other plot bunnies.

And when I thought I was weaning myself out of this BL book addiction, I started yet another last week. The Light and Shadow Series started kinda slow for me but good things come to those who wait! This series is not even complete yet. There are 4 books to complete this series but the author is revising the juicy half of the first book and has not posted the last chapter of the last book. Who cares? Not me. I read it anyway! It has world jumping! You know, kinda like that Tsubasa Chronicle world jumping thing. The main character was an average Graphic Design student in Southern California. Heck, he could be my neighbor/classmate. So many of the places mentioned in the book I can see out my window. HAhaha Ok and I love that this is a mix of reality and fantasy for me. Reality in the way he is a student and has family and Fantasy because he met a quiet, alien, warrior, king who has a crush on him. HAH.
Any more book/fic suggestions? Please tell me!
